My pledge to you…

I am running for Congress because I know how important freedom and the American Dream are. We need a Representative who will provide financial stability and security for our communities so you can get ahead and leadership to secure our borders and stand up to international bullies.

Forty-four years ago, my family and I fled Nicaragua to escape the deadly civil war and communist takeover. We found safety and opportunity in Galesburg, Illinois, where I raised my family, and we are pursuing our American Dream.

Today, all that is at risk. Our families are suffering and making unnecessary sacrifices while those in Washington destroy our economy and create dysfunction and bipartisan bickering.

Ordinary families are hurting, and extremists are using our pain to divide us, undermine our institutions, and advance their own political goals. I’ll work every day for great careers, world-class schools, and safe communities so you can build the life of your dreams.

Create Financial Security

Prices are skyrocketing, and hardworking families are struggling. We need to get back to what makes our economy strong and deliver the financial security hardworking Americans need while providing them a chance to finally get ahead. Let’s cut taxes, fight inflation, secure our global supply chains, ramp up domestic energy production, and bring the costs of goods down.

Ray will stand up for our men and women in uniform, the Rule of Law, and our Constitutional rights.

About Ray

Ray Estrada is a successful entrepreneur, international businessman, and philanthropist. When he was twelve, his family fled Nicaragua, barely escaping the deadly civil war that resulted in the communist takeover. Ray and his wife Amy settled in Galesburg where they raised their four kids. He built a successful business career, and today, he continues to give back to the community to help those in need.

Ray founded and served as President of the Estrada Global Foundation, which provides aid to refugees and displaced citizens through direct assistance to provide for their basic needs and safety. During his tenure at the organization, he traveled internationally into refugee camps in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Spain, and sent aid to war-torn Ukraine to displaced citizens and political exiles. Closer to home, Ray testified to the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission of the U.S. Congress, and he led the initiative to provide over half a million meals to needy families in Western Illinois.

Ray knows the vital importance of freedom, liberty, prosperity, the rule of law, and a free press to create prosperity, safety, and security for all people. Informed by his own life story, he is passionately committed to fighting communism and for fostering the American Dream-style opportunities for men, women, and children in the United States.

In 2022, Mr. Estrada’s work and contributions were recognized by the State of Illinois in House Resolution 696, sponsored by State Rep. Dan Swanson, who said, “Estrada is a great example of what the American Dream can be with hard work and determination.”

Ray and his wife Amy recently celebrated 29 years of marriage and have been blessed with two sons and two daughters. They are members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg. Ray is a graduate of Augustana College B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and earned an M.B.A. from North Park University, Chicago, with a concentration in Finance.
